Sauna Benefits
-
Frequent sauna sessions activate cellular pathways linked to longevity — improving mitochondrial function, reducing oxidative stress, and supporting metabolic health.
(Rhonda Patrick, PhD – FoundMyFitness, 2019)
Heat exposure triggers “heat shock proteins,” which help repair damaged cells and protect the brain against neurodegenerative diseases — one reason saunas are gaining traction in the biohacking world.
(Laukkanen et al., Age and Ageing, 2017)
-
Repeated heat exposure increases heart rate and circulation, similar to moderate exercise. Studies show regular sauna use can help lower blood pressure and support overall heart health. (Laukkanen et al., JAMA Internal Medicine, 2015)
-
Sweating helps eliminate small amounts of heavy metals and other toxins while regulating body temperature. (Genuis et al., Journal of Environmental and Public Health, 2011)
-
Regular sauna bathing has been shown to increase white blood cell count, improve immune response, and reduce the risk of common colds.
(Pilch et al., Journal of Human Kinetics, 2013)Raise your core body temperature to strengthen immune response and support your body’s natural defences.
-
Sauna heat lowers cortisol levels and triggers the release of endorphins — the body’s natural “feel-good” hormones. (Hussain & Cohen, Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, 2018)
-
Increased blood flow helps deliver oxygen to tired muscles and reduce post-exercise soreness. (Scoon et al., SpringerPlus, 2015)
Reduce inflammation and speed up muscle repair after training, injury or overexertion. Especially loved by athletes and gym-goers.
-
Get the post-sauna glow. Infrared therapy improves circulation, oxygenates the skin, and promotes collagen production, supporting clearer, brighter skin.
Heat causes blood vessels to dilate, increasing circulation and promoting a healthy glow by improving oxygen and nutrient delivery to the skin. (Kukkonen-Harjula & Kauppinen, American Journal of Medicine, 1988)
These benefits are general in nature and not guaranteed. Always seek medical advice before using the sauna, particularly if you have heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, are pregnant, or have any existing medical concerns. T&Cs apply when apply.
